TWO HUNDRED BENEFICIARIES OF NDDC FOREIGN POSTGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP RECEIVE AWRAD LETTERS

Two hundred youths of Niger Delta have received their award letters for Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC, foreign postgraduate scholarship programme.
Speaking during the pre- departure ceremony in Port Harcourt Rivers State, the Chairman, Board of NDDC, Mr. Chinedu Ebie described education as a key factor in human development.
Mr. Ebie who assured the beneficiaries that NDDC would partner the Embassies to expedite action on their Visa applications, urged the recipients to be good ambassadors of Niger Delta region and Nigeria in general.
Similarly, the Managing Director NDDC, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku who expressed joy that the selection process was devoid of nepotism, told the scholars that the Commission would not abandon them halfway.
While advising the successful candidates to be studious, he promised that anyone that graduates with distinction would be entitled to doctorate (PHD) sponsorship.
Two of the beneficiaries, Miss Rolake Omogbemi and Aikomo Stephen described the exercise as a rare opportunity and applauded NDDC for the offer.
The beneficiaries promised to add to the development of Niger Delta region at the end of their studies.
Over twenty thousand participants went through the selection process, but only two hundred scaled through, based on their performances in Computer based test and oral interview.
