NDDC TO BE RESULT ORIENTED IN 2024

The Managing Director Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku says that the management will be result oriented in the year twenty twenty four.
Dr. Ogbuku who made the assertion during the first Management and staff interactive for the year at NDDC headquarters in Port Harcourt enjoined staff to brace up with the challenges that would come up while carrying out their assignments.
The Managing Director said that Board there would be management retreat followed by Niger Delta stakeholders summit where all stakeholders would be brought on board to chart a new course for proper implementation of twenty twenty four budget.
While explaining that payment of staff welfare would be phased to give allowance for other projects to thrive, the NDDC boss insisted that focus would be on capital projects as against recurrent expenditures.
The MD who maintained that deployment of staff is meant to enhance the development of Niger Delta region and devoid of nepotism and ethnicity, told senior staff to avoid internal conflicts that would hinder administrative processes.
He noted that budgetary allocations to the commission increased, but there are expectations on performance to match the enhanced allocations.
The MD, said that the commission would be giving quarterly reports to the presidency as such all hands must be on deck.
Similarly, both Executive Director Finance and Administration, EDFA Chief Boma Iyaye and Executive Director Projects Chief Victor Antai while appreciating staff for being dutiful and committed to their assignments asked them to be ready to tackle challenges in line of duty.
On his part, s staff, Mr. Akazuo Christian appreciated management for concerned about staff welfare, but pleaded for a better package for retirees.
