NBA PORT HARCOURT CALLS FOR INVESTIGATION OVER UNLAWFUL INVASION OF SOBOMABO JACKRICH’S HOME

The Nigerian Bar Association – NBA Port Harcourt Branch is calling for investigation into the unprovoked killing of Sincere Jackrich and Diamond Tamunoiminabo, aides to Ex-Niger Delta Militant Leader, Ambassador Sobomabo Jackrich allegedly by men of the Nigerian Military.

President, Nigerian Bar Association, Port Harcourt Branch, Emmanuel Okala  who stated this at Usokun, Degema Local Government Area of the State during the funeral of the two aides, expressed displeasure over the gruesome murder of the aides without any provocation. 

On his part, Former Governorship Candidate of the National Rescue Movement in Rivers State, Ambassador Sobomabo Jackrich while recounting the incident of unlawful invasion of his home, killing of his aides and looting of his property, vowed that no level of intimidation will deter him from his quest to liberate the Niger Delta region through lawful agitations.

The former Governorship candidate said that his odeal may not be unconnected to a petition against him by construction giant, Julius Berger, which he recently confronted for allegedly embarking on an act of sabotage in the guise of carrying out maintenance works on Emohua/Kalabari bridge which has remained in perfect condition since 1999 when it was constructed by the Federal Government.

In the early hours of 8th April 2024, security operatives believed to be men of the Nigerian Military invaded the home of the former ex-militant leader in a commando fashion.

However the Nigerian Army when contacted denied knowledge of the incident.
