Environmentalist raises concern over state of debris in parts of Port-Harcourt metropolis

An Environmentalist, Mr. Benson Abu, has complained about the state of debris between Rukpoku and Eliozu Road in Obio- Akpor Local Government Area, calling on the attention of the Rivers State Waste Management Agency (RIWAMA) to it.

Mr. Abu while reporting the menace, condemned the state of debris parked along the road by the bridge at a period the global community was still celebrating the Environment.

The Environmentalists is also drawing the attention of RIWAMA to the state of waste along the median of road around the Trailer Park, Eleme axis of East/West Road.

Mr. Abu urged residents of the State to contribute more in keeping their surroundings clean and free from germs while calling for more engagement of professionals to manage the volume of wastes generated in Rivers State.
