
Rivers State Sole Administrator,Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas has pledged to conduct a comprehensive appraisal of the underutilized Port Harcourt Technical and Vocational Centre to identify and address factors hindering its optimal operation.
During an inspection tour of key state projects, including the Rivers State House of Assembly Complex and the vocational center in Old GRA, Ibas emphasized the transformative power of skills-based education and its role in developing skilled labor, promoting economic growth, and tackling youth unemployment in Rivers State.
He stated that allowing the facility to remain idle is not an option, underscoring the government’s commitment to revitalizing infrastructure for youth empowerment and sustainable development.
