
Managing Director Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku says present management prioritizes equity, fairness and justice in allocation of projects across the region.
Dr. Ogbuku who made this known while hosting a delegation from Isoko Development Union at NDDC headquarters in Port Harcourt Rivers State, explained that all ethnic groups in the region were united by ancestral origin and face common challenges.

The MD maintained that the present Administration has a mandate to rewrite the history of the commission and make more positive impacts on the lives of the people.
“And in seeing ourselves as one, that is when we are going to develop better. Coming into NDDC for me, as long as you are from any of the mandate states, I take you as my brother, my sister or my friend because, leadership is transient, it moves from one place to another.”
While solicited support from all stakeholders to be able to achieve greater milestones in the development of the region.

the NDDC boss called for peace and collaboration to provide a veritable platform to share ideas that would enhance development of the region.
The Managing Director told them that the power project which NDDC embarked upon in the area was still being worked out as customs confiscated the components because of overstay in their facility.
The Chief Executive Officer of the Interventionist Agency stated that Uzere – patani road damaged by erosion was being considered along other projects in the locality for completion.
During a presentation earlier on, President General, Isoko Development Union, professor Chris Akpotu admitted that the present Administration has made remarkable progress in project delivery.

Professor Akpotu who acknowledged that there has been transformation in the activities of the commission however, requested that the commission assist to carry out more projects in their community.
He appreciated NDDC Managing Director for staff welfare and working with Isoko people in the administration.
