
Managing Director Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku says the commission is making efforts to comply with all directives of Federal Government.
Dr. Ogbuku who stated this while signing performance Management bond, at NDDC Headquarters in Port Harcourt Rivers State, insisted that the commission would be fully automated in compliance with Federal Civil Service policy.

Dr. Ogbuku who explained that Employee Performance Management System was aimed at work efficiency, stated that henceforth, promotion would be based on performance.
He asked staff to buckle up because performance would be measured to justify promotion.
According to the MD, staff would be trained and exposed to different aspects of the workflow for easy adaptability to the PMS.

NDDC Boss advised staff who may be lagging in a particular area, to engage in personal development to be able to measure up to the requirements.
On his part, Director project Monitoring and Supervision PMS, Dr. Perterson OGON
asserted that performance management system would help the commission to monitor development and progress.
Dr. Ogon emphasized on the need for staff to be committed to their assignments.
Similarly Director Admin and Human Resources, Sir Kelechi Nwelue noted that Performance Management System would improve accountability.

He stated that there would be both quarterly and annual assessment of staff performance to identify areas requiring attention.
According to him, there would be support systems even at the state offices to provide a veritable platform for staff to adapt to the new system.
In the same vein, the Consultant, Dr. Mrs.Ofion Achibong remarked that key areas of PMS were the results that would be obtained from different units and directorates in compliance with the Federal Government policies.
Dr. Mrs. Achibong said that the major aim was to ensure excellence at work.
