The Former Chairman of Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area Hon. Prince Isaac Umejuru has strongly denied circulating reports alleging that he was tasked with mobilising stakeholders from Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area (ONELGA) to pressure Governor Sir Siminalayi Fubara into replacing Deputy Governor, Prof. Ngozi Nma Odu.

In a swift reaction to some publications making the rounds on some social media platforms, including Port Harcourt Force and Inside Port Harcourt, Hon. Umejuru described the claim as unfounded, baseless, and lacking any credibility.

“I categorically deny the allegation in its entirety,” Umejuru stated. “At no point was I instructed by any individual or group to undertake such an action. I have neither considered, supported, nor participated in any effort aimed at undermining the office or person of the Deputy Governor.”

The ONELGA stakeholder maintained his unwavering loyalty and respect for Prof. Ngozi Nma Odu, describing her as “a distinguished leader, mentor and mother” whose contributions to governance and commitment to peace and sustainable development in Rivers State remain commendable.

He warned that the report appears to be a deliberate attempt to sow discord and heighten political tension in the state.

“ I remain firmly opposed to any agenda capable of fostering division or destabilising the state’s leadership and will not associate myself with such efforts under any circumstances,” he added.

Umejuru therefore urged members of the public to disregard the publication, stressing that it is nothing but misinformation designed to create unnecessary confusion.

The Rivers politician reaffirmed his commitment to unity, loyalty, and the continued progress of Rivers State under the current administration.
