Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara says his administration will continue to improve the operations of the NYSC scheme in the state, in line with his ‘Rivers State first’ agenda.
Governor Fubara stated this at the swearing-in ceremony of 2026 Batch B Stream Two Corps members at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp at Nonwa -Gbam Tai, Rivers State.
Represented by the Permanent Secretary, Cabinet Bureau, Office of the Secretary to the Rivers State Go, Dr Promise Oguzie, the Governor commended the commitment and hardwork of the NYSC through the community development service projects and th4 Health Initiative for Rural Dwellers.
Rivers State Coordinator of NYSC, Mr Moses Oleghe said the scheme will continue to motiva graduate youths to execute developmental programmes for the state and the nation.
Mr. Oleghe reminded the Corps members of the task ahead of them as INEC Adhoc staff during the 2027 general election
Some of the Corps Members who spoke with our correspondent in Camp expressed readiness for the demands of the orientation, the service year and the election.
A total number of 3584 Corps members took the oath of service as administered by Justice G.C Aguma who represented the Chief Judge of Rivers State, Justice Simeon Amadi.
