Edo state Chairman, National Youth Council of Nigeria, Comrade Moses Agwinede has celebrated youths in the state while urging them to unite and embrace innovation, pursue excellence, and use their voices to foster peace, shun vices and develop Edo state.
In a statement to Mark this year’s international Youth Day, Comrade Agwinede explained that though background and circumstances of some youth differ, their aspirations remain the same for a better society and a dream for a prosperous future for Edo State .
He appealed to them to remain responsible in the discharge of their responsibilities for the development of the country.
“As young people, we must not only be leaders of tomorrow; we must become responsible leaders and change makers today.”
Comrade Agwinede stressed that this year’s theme ” different context , common aspiration ” was apt, as it signifies a message of creativity, dreams, resilience, and courage of youths.
The Edo NYCN chairman who wished Nigerian Youths Happy International Youth Day further thanked the Governor of Edo State, Monday Okpebholo, for his consistency in developing young people across the State and creating an enabling environment for a New Edo.
