NDDC PLEDGES TO CONTINUE INFRASTRUCTURAL, LOGISTICS SUPPORT TO NIGERIAN ARMY

The Managing Director, Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku says NDDC will continue to assist in the provision of infrastructure and logistics support to Nigerian Army.
Dr. Ogbuku who made this known during a courtesy visit by the Commander Six Division Garison Nigerian Army Port Harcourt, noted that the agency has carried out some projects within the barracks and will revitalize the ones that have been stalled.
The managing Director acknowledged that the Army has contributed to the peace in the state and encouraged them to provide adequate security during the forthcoming election.
In his presentation earlier on, the Commander Six Division Garison, Brigadier General Suleiman Tilawan said he came for a familiarization visit to NDDC and to appreciate the interventionist agency for its contributions to infrastructural Development in the barracks.
Brigadier General Tilawan who explained that Six Division Garison is part of the formations under Six Division Nigerian Army Area of Responsibility, which also include Two Brigade Akwa Ibom, Sixteen Bridage Bayelsa and Sixty-three Brigade Delta State.
The Garrison Commander gave assurance of enough security to ensure peaceful election.
On his part, the Executive Director, Finance and Administration, retired Major General Charles Airhiavbere thanked the Army for the Civil Military relationship and security at NDDC headquarters.
Other management staff cum Directors were present during the courtesy visit.
