Persons with disabilities in Rivers State decry parallel leadership

The Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities, JNAPWD; in Rivers State have expressed displeasure over the identity of Mr. Kie Obomanu as the Chairman of the Group in the State.

In an interview in Port Harcourt, Comrade Collins Akpana who said he is the instant Chairman of JNAPWD in the State, and the Secretary, Comrade Ngo Baridapdoo said Mr. Obomanu has wrongfully paraded himself as the State Chairman of the Group, which they say is against the Constitution of the Group.

When asked to explain the Court Case that was sometime on air that Mr. Obomanu won as the Chairman of the Group, Comrade Chigozie Amuda who said he is the Legal Adviser to the Group, said the said case was between Mr. Obomanu and individuals and not with JNAPWD urging the Government and Security Agencies to call Mr. Kie Obomanu to order.

When Contacted, Mr. Kie Obomanu told Radio Nigeria Treasure FM that the allegations were false and intended to malign his integrity, stressing that he is also the Chairman of all Chairmen of the Forum in Nigeria.

Mr. Obomanu decried the situation where the former party had to engage the media over an existing Court matter.
