TRAINEES OF NDDC PROJECT ADVISED TO TAKE THE TRAINING SERIOUS

Trainees of Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC’s youth empowerment and capacity building initiative, Holistic Opportunities Project of Engagement, tagged, Project Hope have been enjoined to take their training serious. 

The Director, Commercial and Industrial Development, CID,  DR. Godwin Nosiri who gave the advice while addressing participants at the training center in Port Harcourt Rivers State assured them of the determination of NDDC to train them to be self reliant. 

Dr. Nosiri was emphatic that the skill acquisition training would equip them with necessary knowledge in information and communication technology to succeed in their chosen careers. 

Similarly, the Head Media Relations, Dr. Tony Omah enjoined participants to conduct themselves with decorum in line with the tenets of the programme to enjoy the benefits.

Giving details about the programme, the facilitator, Ambassador Blessing Fubara who said that about one hundred and eighty-nine thousand youths have indicated interest in the data base, added that the beneficiaries were selected from all the local government areas in the state. 

Ambassador Fubara who said that selection was made based on the areas of interest Indicated by participants, assured them that their starter packs are available and would be given at the end of the training. 

The Facilitator emphasized the importance of artificial intelligence and its’ requirements by employers of labour globally. 

The aim is to engage about ten thousand youths between now and March twenty twenty-four.
