NDDC TO EXPAND SCHOLARSHIP SCOPE TO INCLUDE UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMME IN NIGERIAN UNIVERSITIES

Managing Director Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku says there are plans to expand the scope of the commission’s scholarship programme.
Dr. Ogbuku who made the revelation during the Oral Interview for applicants of NDDC Postgraduate foreign scholarship in Port Harcourt Rivers State, added that in the near future, there would be opening for undergraduate scholarship in Nigeria Universities.
While expressing the determination of NDDC to have the best selected for the scholarship, the MD advised beneficiaries to be good ambassadors of both the commission and the country.
The Managing Director insisted on transparency, equity, merit and equal opportunity for all prospective beneficiaries.
Two of the applicants Miss Blessing Atiti and Andy Imabibo expressed happiness over the selection process, promising to give good representation of the region.
The respondents while commending the scheme appreciated NDDC for the gesture, describing it as a veritable opportunity.
Over thousand applicants are facing the selection panel having sailed through computer based test where over five thousand applicants participated.
