Managing Director, Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku says twenty-six Kilometers Ogbia Nembe road will improve economic viability of the region.
Dr. Ogbuku made the assertion during inspection of the project in Ogbia Local Government Bayelsa state, adding that that the road road which transversed about fourteen communities would be commissioned very soon.
According to him, the Ogbia Nembe road with about seven bridges and nine kilometers in swampy areas would not only aid residents in conveying agricultural produce to the urban cities but will equally improve social activities in the villages.
While emphasizing the importance of partnership, the NDDC boss stated that the project was done in collaboration with International Oil company.
The Chief Executive Officer of NDDC expressed confidence that the construction of the road will improve security in the communities.
