NDDC TARGETS OVER FOUR THOUSAND BENEFICIARIES AT OGUTA FREE MEDICAL

Managing Director Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku says Free medical outreach embarked upon by the commission is aimed at reaching about four thousand residents of Imo State.
Dr. Ogbuku who made this known during free medical mission organized by the commission in Oguta community Imo State, explained that NDDC has a mandate to take care of the health needs of Niger Delta people in addition to infrastructural development.
Represented by Director Education, Health and Social Services NDDC, Dr. George Uzonwanne, the Managing Director stated that many residents of the locality have already benefited from the free medical that would run for one week.
Similarly, Director Imo State Office NDDC, Mr. Kelechi Nwelue who described the outreach as a big relief to the beneficiaries, asked the residents to take advantage of the programme.
Reacting to the development, The Paramount Ruler of Oguta Ancient Kingdom, His Royal Highness, Eze Nzeribe Eyiche expressed joy over the turnout and success of the free medical while one of the beneficiaries, Mrs. Franca Nnamdi said she was treated of her ailment free.
The respondents appreciated NDDC for the gesture and requested that it would be made regular.
Over two million residents within Niger Delta region have benefited from the programme that started in two thousand and one.
