Corp members have been reminded of the schemes objrctive of promoting natRivers SS Carries out first official functionional unity and integration by intentionally paying respect to the culture and traditions of host communities.
Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara who stated this during the closing ceremony of 2025 Batch B Stream Two Orientatoon course at Nonwa-Gbam Tai, assured Corps members of his administration’s optimal support especially on welfare and security.
The Governor who was represented by the newly sworn secretary to the state government, Mr. Benibo Anabraba advised the Corps Members to avoid acts that will tarnish the image of NYSC and impact positively on their place of primary assignment.
Hhe enjoined the Corps Members to embrace skill acquisition wholeheartedly in order to elevate themselves as “wealth creators and employers of labor.
In his address, the Coordinator NYSC Rivers State, Mr. Moses Oleghe appealed to the Corps Members to use the opportunity of the Service Year to discover their true purpose.and to go into the communities across the 23 local government areas for selfless service.
The colorful closing ceremony ended with parades and some of the Corp members described their camp experience as good.while they received their posting letters accordingly.
