The Managing Director, Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku says  staff  Welfare is in the front burner of management plans.

‎Dr. Ogbuku who made this known during twenty twenty-five NDDC Staff Raffle draw in Port Harcourt Rivers State, appreciated staff for the support given management to succeed.‎‎He told them that with their support the commission has gained a lot of awards, recognitions, both local and International as well as commendation by president Bola Tinubu.

While maintaining that the   commission has become a standard in road construction and Solar street lights installation, the MD assertted that the days of sub- standard jobs were over.



‎”We have projects that are lined up for commissioning, these projects are to show the world the hard work that is coming from all of you.
‎They are results of the efforts you are putting in, in changing the narrative of Niger Delta and changing the narrative of the NDDC.
‎We are only going to showcase what your efforts have turned out to be”

The Chief Executive Officer of the Interventionist Agency explained that as part of the twenty five years anniversary, projects were inaugurated in Delta, Rivers, Abia, IMO and Bayelsa States, while another round of projects Inauguration would commence in May across the region.


‎He charged staff to continue to do their best for the growth of the commission and development of oil rich region.

‎Speaking on Alternative Dispute Resolution between Management and Union for a Harmonious and Peaceful Workplace, the Head Education and International, Amalgamated Union of Public Corporation Civil Service and Recreational Service Employees, National Secretariat, Comrade Dinepre Torukeregha emphasized the need for the Union and management to work  in synergy for the benefit of staff.

‎”The issue works and management normally have is, when you tamper with the welfare of workers, when you tamper with the benefits of workers the Union will react.
‎Sincerely, strengthening the synergy between Management and staff is encouraging.
‎You are lucky here, to have a listening management and board that prioritize the welfare of workers” ‎‎Comrade Torukeregha‎insisted on the need for collaborative efforts between staff and management to avoid friction.‎High point of the event was the raffle draw during which several winners emerged and received different items, such as, generators, refrigerators, gas Cookers and many others.

‎As part of appreciation to the MD/CEO for his Goodwill to the staff, the immediate past Executives of the staff Corporative presented to him, his bronze sculpture.‎‎

A staff from Rivers State Office, Nelly Uwaoma won a brand new Car, being the second Star prize, while Chukwudi Nwammadu from Akwa Ibom State office was the winner of first star prize, of three Bedroom apartment in GRA Port Harcourt.
