Platoons 4 and 6 have pipped other platoons to clinch the coveted Miss NYSC and Mr. Macho Rivers crown.

It was an amazing, awesome, and unforgettable night of entertainment at the NYSC permanent orientation camp, Nonwa-Gbam Tai where, venue of the event.

In the Miss NYSC event, the elegant, electric, mesmerizing, tall, ebony black and beautiful platoon4 contestant dazzled the judges and audience with her infectious smiles and perfectly set, shining dentition.

Her exceptional beauty, poise, and carriage triggered wild jubilation and excitement amongst the Corps Members, a development put her head of other contestants.

On the other hand, the platoon6 Mr. Macho contestant was unarguably the popular choice of the judges and the CorpsMembers.Tall, muscularly, with good body frame, and well-built physique, his well-nurtured biceps and steeze was disarming.

The Variety Night, powered solely by the State Coordinator NYSC Rivers State, Mr. Moses Oleghe witnessed rich display of various ethnic groups’ cultural attires.

Significant highlight of the event was when the Camp Commandant, Capt. RI Chindo took the stage to entertain the Corps Members with his sonorous voice, as he sang songs for them.

In another development, State Coordinator, Mr. Moses Oleghe reiterated the importance of the virtues of “discipline, resilience and competitiveness” as critical character traits that are sine qua non for growth and development.

He stated this on Thursday during a remark at the inter-platoon drill competition for Corps Members deployed to Rivers State.

He used the occasion to inform the Corps Members that the essence of military drill in the orientation course timetable is to inculcate in them the above virtues and enjoined them to embrace them wholeheartedly uf they must succeed in life.

Speaking further, Mr.Oleghe commended the military instructors in camp for their “passion, commitment, and dedication” in reshaping and realigning the mentality and consciousness of the Corps Members towards national ideals, and above all, inculcating discipline in them.”

At the end of the entertaining, thrilling, and highly competitive event, 9 platoon shone like a million stars by taking 1st position, 1 platoon took 2nd while 4 platoon took 3rd.

On the other hand, 8 platoon that came 10th were awarded the big Otondo Wooden Spoon.
