
2024 Batch B Stream II Corps Members who served in Rivers State and completed their National Service today have been advised to let the “positive experiences of the Service Year stimulate their actions in life to put Nigeria first going forward.”
Rivers State NYSC Coordinator, Mr. Moses Oleghe gave the advice today at the Isaac Boro Park, Port Harcourt, venue of the low-key passing-out ceremony when he addressed the Corps Members and bid them farewell.
He appreciated them for living up to the values and ideals of the NYSC Scheme in their host communities through exemplary, selfless, quality and committed output in all spheres of the lives of the people whom they impacted positively.

advised the Corps Members on the task of nation building, especially by being intentional to leverage the skill they acquired during the Service Year.
He charged them not hope nor rely on white-collar jobs.
He shared the sentiment of the government and good people of Rivers State, whom he said, “are very pleased with the enormous contributions of Corps Members to the State’s economic growth and development.”
In conclusion, Mr. Oleghe informed the Corps Members that out of the over 3000 of them who concluded the Service Year, 1 won the State Honors Award, 26 to serve extension of service ranging from 1 – 3 months while 6 will repeat the entire Service Year.
