Staff of Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC have been urged to avoid corrupt practices in the discharge of their duties.

The Residence Anti Corruption Commissioner, Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission ICPC, Rivers and Bayelsa State, Mrs. Ukere usiere, who gave the advice during a sensitization programme at NDDC Headquarters in Port Harcourt Rivers State, told them that failure to abide by anti corruption laws would attract penalties.

Similarly, the Head , Legal Unit ICPC, Rivers State Office, Mr. Evans Peters who told staff to clean up their records, insisted that gratifications, award of contract without budget, falsification of records, inflation of figures among others were unlawful.

“We told them a lot about ICPC Act, the offense and penalties. We also touched other anti graft laws.
