
A total of two thousand, one hundred corps members deployed to Rivers State have been dully registered for the 2025 Batch B Stream Two service and subsequently sworn in.
Addressing the Corps Members during the swearing in ceremony at the NYSC Orientatoon camp in Nonwa-Gbam Tai, Rivers State, Governor Siminialayi Fubara assured them that his administration will be unrelenting in supporting the NYSC Scheme towards achieving its mandate and objectives.
Represented by the Permanent Secretary Cabinet Affairs, office of the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Mrs. Azibaolanari Uzoma-Nwogu, Governor Fubara applauded NYSCs community development projects at the local government areas and restated his administration’s efforts towards the upgeade of facilities in the camp.

Furthermore, he charged them to embrace the Scheme’s skill acquisition training programme wholeheartedly in order to become self-reliant and contribute to the nation’s economic growth and development.
Earlier, the State Coordinator, NYSC Rivers State, Mr. Moses Oleghe had informed the governor that the Corps Members were ready to make positive impacts and contribute meaningfully to the development of the nation.

He advised the Corps Members to see the service year as a rare opportunity to discover themselves and redirect their youthful energy into making a positive impact in society.
The administration of the oath of allegiance was performed by Justice Mark Chuku, who represented the Chief Judge of the State.
