The Nigerian Police, Zone 5, Benin City has called on the people of Edo and Delta States, particularly motorists, to cooperate with it, as the force commenced the enforcement of Vehicle Tinted Glass Permit regulations with effect from Thursday, 2nd October, 2025.

A release issued by the Police Public Relations Officer of the zone, SP Tijani Momoh notes that the exercise, which is in line with the directives of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, will be carried out professionally across the two states and will apply to all vehicles with tinted glasses, whether factory or non-factory fitted.

The statement calls on motorists yet to register their vehicles with tinted glass permit to do so at www.possap.gov.ng, after which they should proceed to their State Command Headquarters for physical verification.
