
The Bayelsa State government has reiterated its continued support for Radio Nigeria Creek 106.5 FM, Yenagoa.
Commissioner for Information, Orientation and Strategy, Mrs. Ebiuwou Koku-Obiyai gave the assurance when the Management of the station visited her in her office in the Bayelsa State capital.
Mrs. Obiyai who praised the Federal Radio Corporation for its services and wide reach said the Governor Douye Diri led Administration would not relent in its support for Creek FM.
Earlier, the General Manager of Radio Nigeria Creek 106.5 FM. Yenagoa , Dr. Mopelola Oke thanked the Bayelsa State government and the Ministry of Information for all the support, stressing the need for continued partnership as the station prepares for a re-launch due to the efforts of the Management of the FRCN and the South-South Zonal Office.
Members of the Management Team of the station comprising heads of the various departments accompanied the General Manager on the visit to the Commissioner.
Creek FM Yenagoa is preparing to resume full broadcast operations in Bayelsa State after a raging thunderstorm destroyed the station’s antenna and transmitter on March 31, 2020.
