The Leadership of the Action Peoples Party (APP) at the Local Government and Ward levels in Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni Local Government Area, alongside Immediate Past Councillors, have officially defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The defection took place during a solidarity visit by the APP LGA and Ward Executives on Friday 12th December to Hon. Prince Isaac Umejuru, Former Chairman of Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni Local Government Area, who had earlier defected from the APP to the APC.
During the visit, the defectors collectively pledged their loyalty and solidarity to the Executive Governor of Rivers State, His Excellency Sir Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS, the Deputy Governor, Professor Ngozi Nma Odu, DSSRS, and Hon. Prince Isaac Umejuru, affirming their resolve to remain united with the leadership wherever it stands.
Speakers representing the six geo-political zones of ONELGA, as well as the Immediate Past Councillors, unanimously affirmed the collective decision of the party structure to align with the APC. They further declared their full support for the Renewed Hope Initiative of His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The defection marks a significant political realignment in ONELGA and reinforces the growing strength and cohesion of the APC within the Local Government Area.
