Staff of Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC, have been enjoined to target excellence while carrying out their daily assignments.
Managing Director NDDC, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku who gave the advice during Long Service Award ceremony for staff of the commission at NDDC headquarters, noted that the task of achieving rapid development of the oil rich region required a strategic approach.
Represented by Executive Director Corporate Services, Otumba Ifedayo Abegunde, the Managing Director acknowledged that the commission provides a platform for development and growth in service.
On his part, Director Admin and Human Resources, Mr. Patrick Ekade assured management of the willingness of staff to support the programmes of the commission.
While receiving his award, Director Education Health and Social Services, Dr. George Uzonwanne admitted that it was heartwarming to be recognized and rewarded by management.
Dr. Uzonwanne encouraged Junior staff to strive for self development as they climb the ladder.
The awards were in categories of thirty, twenty, fifteen and ten years of service with a total of two hundred and three awardees.
