
His Royal Highness, Henry Binidodogha, the Ovuru the first of Ofunama land in Ovia South West Local Government Area of Edo State, has advised some persons in the state who are hiding under the issue of the creation of the proposed Toru-Be State to cause confusion to follow the path of peace as the federal government is capable of taking the right decision on the issue.
In a statement made available to Newsmen in Benin City, Chief Binidodogha said the proposed Toru-Be State, from the information he gathered was going to be carved out mainly from three states , which were Delta, Edo and Ondo States.
He added that the Ijaw ethnic nationality, constitute a part of it same is the Ilaje and Ikale people from Ondo State.
He explained that Nobody from Delta and Ondo State is against the creation of the proposed state but alleged that the objection against the creation of the state is coming only from Edo State Mrs Omosede Igbinedion was seen on TV opposing the plan.
“She and the other members of the national assembly from the Edo South District who are opposed to the creation of Toru-Be State should thread with caution so as not to stir crisis in the locality.
“For centuries, we have lived in peace with our neighbours in Ikpoba Okha, Ovia North East and Ovia South West Local Government Areas of Edo State. We are peace loving people and are interested in maintaining that good relationship with our neighbours. We don’t want the issue of state creation to cause chaos,” he stated.
