As the year Twenty-twenty-five ebbs away, the people of Kpansia-Epie community in Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa State have expressed gratitude to God for the peace in the land.

The community led by its Paramount ruler Chief Wilfred Preye at the tenth Thanksgiving service held at the Kpansia Town hall also prayed for the progress and prosperity of the area.

Eminent chiefs of the Epie Kingdom and neighbouring communities attended the service which also had women, youths, elders, opinion leaders and other eminent personalities as well as the Clergy in attendance.

A live band ministering in the Epie dialect set the tone for praise and worship session as natives of Kpansia trooped out for the 10th Thanksgiving service of the community.

In a sermon, the District Minister of the Greater Evangelism World Crusade, Bayelsa State, Pastor Ibim Alabraba illustrating from various books in the Bible including Second Chronicles, Chapter 20, verses 1 to 5 and Psalm 16 verse 34 who dwelt on the topic ‘Thanksgiving, Pathway to Victory’ charged the people to always cultivate the habit of gratitude to God for more blessings.

The Obeneken of Kpansia-Epie community, Chief Wilfred Preye in a remark on the occasion while thanking God for blessings, enjoined the people to forgive one another, stressing that peace has returned to the community after a period of instability.

The Woman Leader of Kpansia, Chief Adevuya Otobo appreciated God for the progress in the community including a new health center being built by the Yenagoa City Local Government Area Council.

A cast of dignitaries from all spheres of society including prominent chiefs from Epie Kingdom, neighbouring communities such as Yenizue-Epie, Community Development Committee and Youth as well as Women Groups in Kpansia joined Christian leaders in the Thanksgiving service with prayers offered for the community, Bayelsa State and Nigeria.
