
The Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has called on the people of the State to sustain prayers for peace, unity and continued progress, while urging leaders, clergy and citizens to discharge their civic responsibilities with sincerity, restraint and patriotism.
Governor Eno at the Government House Monthly Prayer Service, themed “Limitless Possibilities With God,” drawn from Matthew 19:26, urged continued prayers for the peace the State currently enjoys and for the success of ongoing and planned development initiatives.
Governor Eno also sought prayers for the full realisation of the State’s international airport status, explaining that several critical benchmarks must be met to enable Akwa Ibom capture a significant share of the aviation market within the Gulf of Guinea
The Governor commended past leaders of the State, acknowledging that every administration made its mark and contributed to Akwa Ibom’s development.
The Governor disclosed that the administration has 60 priority projects ongoing, in addition to over 1,300 kilometres of roads either completed or currently spread across the State.
Governor highlighted the importance of the ongoing ministerial briefings, describing them as a vital stock-taking exercise aimed at repositioning the administration for higher performance.
In an exhortation, the Chairman, Akwa Ibom State Christian Association of Nigeria, Rev. Dr. Christian Nyong, speaking on the theme, acknowledged the Limitless Possibilities of God’s intervention in the affairs of the State and its people.
