A team of professionals to conduct an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) paid a visit to the Awoh of Ndoni, His Royal Majesty Ogbaenyi Ijoma Samuel, to liarse with the community over the assessment under his jurisdiction toward a proposed project by Oando.
The delegation included representatives of Oando, the Federal Ministry of Environment, and the independent consulting firm conducting the assessment, alongside other team members. Community Chiefs, the CDC Chairman, the Youth Chairman, and representatives of the youth and women were also present and shared their views on the proposed exercise.
In his remarks, the monarch highlighted the potential positive impact of the project on the community if actualised, while urging Oando to ensure inclusiveness, transparency, mitigation of negative impacts, and adequate compensation where necessary when eventually the project begins.
