Contractor handling Kaa-Ataba Bridge connecting Khana and Andoni Local Government Areas in Rivers State has been charged to expedite action to complete the project soon.
Chairman, Board of Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC, Mr. Chiedu Ebie who gave the charge during an oversight inspection alongside other board members in kaa Community revealed that the project would be inaugurated this year.
Similarly, NDDC Managing Director, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku who expressed satisfaction over the progress of work, noted that the project was among the legacy projects President Bola Tinubu directed the commission to complete as part of the Renewed Hope Agenda dividends.
Reacting to the development, the paramount Rulers of ATABA, His Royal Highness Benson Egwenre, and his Kaa Community Counterpart, His Royal Highness, Benjamin Ledor, applauded NDDC for the gesture, saying that the project would open social and economic activities in the locality.
The monarchs however pleaded with the commission to extend the gesture to other internal roads in the area to link up with the two Kilometers Kaa-Ataba Road with two bridges.
