Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshall Kelvin Aneke says collaboration between Nigerian Air Force and Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC will enhance oil production and development of Niger Delta region.

Air Marshall Aneke who came up with this while on courtesy visit at NDDC headquarters in Port Harcourt Rivers State, stated that Nigerian Air Force has acquired platforms that would be useful for security of oil rich Niger Delta region to improve oil production.

The Chief of Air Staff acknowledged that NDDC has executed projects in different Air Force Barracks in the region.

He however requested for provision of more facilities especially, accommodation for Air Men in the region.

Addressing the delegation Managing Director Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku acknowledged the effort of the Air Force in the fight against banditry and Boko Haram in parts of the country.

Dr. Ogbuku asserted that peace was a Catalyst to Development, saying that the support to security agencies would enhance project delivery.

The MD explained that it was a triangle collaboration because Oil companies fund NDDC, so assisting security agencies to carry out their assignments would enhance security of the region and more funds for the commission.

NDDC MD, stated that the commission found it worthy to hand over facilities to military to manage since they have shown capacity in that regard.
