
Junior Achievement Nigeria , JA Nigeria, in partnership with NLNG Cooperative, has completed the JA Be Entrepreneurial program, which empowered 30 young women in Finima Community, Bonny, Rivers State, with entrepreneurial knowledge and vocational skills to support sustainable livelihoods and economic independence.
The program, which ran from April to May 2026, under the theme “Think It. Create It. Own It”, equipped participants with both technical expertise and the business acumen needed to establish and grow successful enterprises through combining hands-on hairstyling training with JA Nigeria’s entrepreneurship curriculum.
Throughout the program, participants received practical instruction from experienced hairstylists and entrepreneurship facilitators.
Upon completion, all participants were awarded certificates recognizing their successful participation and newly acquired skills.
While expressing gratitude to NLNG COOPERATIVE for their support, the Acting Executive Director of Junior Achievement Nigeria, Olaolu Akogun, said the training has helped the young women of Finima to have tangible, marketable skill that would move them from dependency to self-sufficiency.

Also speaking, the Programs Officer for Rivers State at Junior Achievement Nigeria, expressed optimism that with the remarkable enthusiasm, determination, and a strong willingness to learn, the participants were well-positioned to create lasting impact in their communities.
