The Chairman of Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State, Hon. (Comr.) Friday Ovoke Warri, has called for greater unity, discipline and grassroots mobilisation within the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Warri made the call while speaking with journalists after the Delta South APC Mega Stakeholders’ Meeting held on Thursday at the Brownhill Coliseum, Warri.
The meeting brought together party leaders, elders and stakeholders from the eight local government areas that make up the Delta South Senatorial District.
Warri described the gathering as a significant step towards strengthening the party’s internal cohesion and building a formidable political structure capable of delivering victory for the APC in the 2027 elections.
He stressed that the success of the party would depend largely on its ability to put aside personal differences, strengthen its structures and mobilise effectively at the grassroots.
According to him, the stakeholders’ meeting provided an opportunity for party leaders to assess the strength of existing structures, identify areas requiring improvement and chart a common course for the future of the APC in Delta South.
Warri said, “This meeting is very important because no political party can achieve meaningful success without unity among its members.
“What we have witnessed today is a clear demonstration that our leaders, elders and stakeholders are committed to working together for the progress of the APC in Delta South.
“As party members, we must put aside personal differences and focus on the larger interest of the party. We need discipline, dedication and genuine commitment at every level, particularly at the grassroots, because that is where the strength of any political organisation lies.”
The council chairman reaffirmed his commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at strengthening the APC in Isoko South and across Delta South, urging members to remain focused and ensure that all stakeholders are carried along.
He added, “We must continue to mobilise our people, strengthen our structures and ensure that our members are properly carried along. If we remain united and focused, I believe the APC will be in a stronger position to achieve victory in the 2027 general elections.”
Warri also expressed support for efforts to advance the Renewed Hope agenda of the APC, stressing the importance of coordinated grassroots engagement in achieving the party’s objectives.
The stakeholders’ meeting further deliberated on strategies for improving the party’s organisational structures, promoting internal cohesion and deepening grassroots mobilisation across the eight local government areas of Delta South.
The gathering ended with a renewed commitment by party leaders and stakeholders to work collectively towards building a stronger and more formidable APC ahead of the 2027 general elections.
