A social Cultural group ,the “Aiguobasinmwin Movement World-Wide, has embarked on Entrepreneurship Workshop Exhibition, at the opening ceremony of the tenth coronation anniversary of the Oba of Benin, Ewuare the second held in Benin City, the Edo State capital.
The event which took place at Oba Akenzua Cultural Center had on display varieties of food and crafts such as handmade fabrics, shoemaking, painting, tailoring as well as manicure and pedicure.
Addressing Newsmen, President ,Aiguobasinmwin Movement worldwide, Mr Osaro Iyamu said the varieties of food and diverse crafted items were of symbolic importance to the traditional and cultural heritage of Benin kingdom.
“We are here today as a result of the fourth edition of Oba Ewuare two months entrepreneurship workshop. We started on the tenth of August and today is making it fifty nine days and we came up with this exhibition to ensure that what the over one thousand beneficiaries have been taught is being exhibited in honour of the Monarch”.
The Obazelu of Benin, Chief Osaro Idah and Chairman organizing committee of the Anniversary, Mr. Lucky Imasuen said the exhibition was also meant to showcase the numerous Benin crafts to the world.
“The exhibition part it’s called the kingdom remembers, the tenth year coronation anniversary of Oba Ewuare the second. Today there are works from sculptures, Painters, craftsman and photographers.”
The anniversary continues with cultural festival.
