The Chairman of Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State, Ovoke Warri has expressed conviction that the victory of Senator Joel Onowakpo-Thomas in the APC primary election for Delta South Senatorial ticket was in the best interest of the party

Warri congratulated the senator representing Delta South senatorial district at the National Assembly, Senator Joel Onowakpo-Thomas, on his triumph at the recently concluded All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial primary for Delta South.

In a message personally signed by the Chairman of Isoko South local government council at his office in Oleh, the headquarters of the Isoko South, Warri expressed the belief that he (Onowakpo) would reach out to everyone to ensure that the APC party triumphs in the general election.

Warri used the medium to salute the courage and leadership of the state chairman of the party and other stakeholders adding their steadfastness ensured the peaceful outcome and success of the senatorial primaries.

The council boss also assured the senatorial flag bearer and the party of his support in the days ahead.

Incumbent senator, Joel Onowakpo-Thomas, representing Delta South senatorial district was declared the winner of the Delta South senatorial district of the All Progressive Congress, (APC)) primary election for the 2027 general elections.

Senator Onowakpo-Thomas who beat the former house of Assembly member, Michael Diden popularly known as Ejele, polled 87, 805 votes to defeat Michael Diden who scored 30, 798 votes.

Announcing the results at the APC collation centre, James Ekpre Otobo hall, Oleh, headquarters of Isoko South Local Government Area of the State, the chairman of the election panel declared Senator Onowakpo-Thomas winner having polled 87,805 votes to defeat Diden, who secured 30,794 votes.
