The Chairman of Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State, Hon. (Comrade) Friday Ovoke Warri, has congratulated the government and people of the state on the occasion of Delta State’s 35th anniversary.
In a goodwill message marking the milestone, Warri described the anniversary as an important moment for reflection on the state’s journey, celebration of its achievements and renewed commitment to its continued growth and development.
He noted that, over the past 35 years, Delta State had made significant strides in infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, commerce and human capital development.
According to him, the state’s progress has been driven by the resilience, unity and collective contributions of Deltans, as well as the sacrifices and efforts of individuals, communities and successive administrations.
Warri said the anniversary should also serve as a reminder of the need to preserve Delta’s rich cultural heritage while working collectively towards a more prosperous and sustainable future.
He particularly commended Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for his visionary leadership and commitment to sustainable development and the welfare of the people through the administration’s people-oriented M.O.R.E. Agenda.
The council chairman urged Deltans to continue to promote peace, unity and development, stressing that the collective strength of the people remained crucial to building a stronger and more prosperous state.
He expressed optimism that Delta would continue to make meaningful progress, create greater opportunities for its citizens and remain a beacon of peace, development and hope for generations to come.
Warri wished the government and people of Delta State a memorable 35th anniversary, urging Deltans to use the milestone as an opportunity to build on past achievements and work towards an even brighter future.
