The chairman of Egbolom Community Development Committee in Abual-Odual local government area, Mr. Goodluck Rufus, says the leadership of the community will not retract its statement accusing Professor Good Wilson and others, of masterminding the attempted kidnap of the paramount and other leaders of the community on March 24th 2025.
Speaking with newsmen, Mr. Rufus, who alleged that Professor Wilson and his cohorts, have not attracted any development to the community, said there are clear evidences to show that the accused persons masterminded the kidnap attempt, while the community has instituted a case in court in respect of the matter.
Mr. Rufus further said that the community had spent millions of naira for medical treatment of some indigenes who were injured in the failed kidnap attempt.
Also speaking, the Woman leader of Egbolom community, Mrs. Precious Jackson and the Publicity Secretary of the community, Mr. Esele Tobin, pledged their support for the paramount ruler and Community Development Committee of Egbolom, and condemned the alleged kidnap attempt in the community by the accused persons.
While calling on the state government to intervene, they urged security agencies to carry out thorough investigation into the attempted kidnap and ensure that perpetrators are arrested.
