
The member representing Sagbama/Ekeremor Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Chief Frederick Agbedi has expressed dissatisfaction over shoddy execution of a six-classroom block project in Adagbabiri Community, Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.
The Federal Lawmaker who stated this after an inspection of constituency projects over the weekend, described the classroom project, executed under the Sustainable Development Goals programme, SDGs as unfit for learning and called on the Federal Government to blacklist the contractor.
Chief Fred Agbedi who commended community leaders and school authorities in Adagbabiri for drawing his attention to the poor quality of work on the six-classroom block project, promised to follow up on the job until it meets the required standards, appealing to the House Committee on SDGs to probe the matter and ensure the contract is awarded to a competent contractor.
The member representing Sagbama/Ekeremor Constituency in the House of Representatives while calling for the contractor to be blacklisted, urged the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC and the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission, ICPC to investigate the project and recover any funds already paid.

The federal lawmaker, however, expressed satisfaction over the near completion of a three-bedroom residence for the Alei of Aleibiri in Ekeremor Local Government Area, which he facilitated as a constituency project, reafirming his commitment to delivering quality dividends of democracy to the people of Sagbama and Ekeremor.
Traditional rulers from both communities including the Amadaowei of Adagbabiri, Alaowei Broderick Okee called for the revocation of the classroom contract, while the Alei of Aleibiri, Chief James Abekeme Saraiki, praised the quality of work on the palace residence.
They commended the Lawmaker for his constituency projects which according to them have impacted positively on the lives of natives of communities.
