Radio Nigeria has been identified as a crucial instrument in driving people oriented development at the rural areas.
The Mayor Ohafia Local Government, Chief Eleanya Ojuu-Kalu stated this at Ebem Ohafia during a meeting with the management of Radio Nigeria Pacesetter FM Umuahia, led by the General Manager, Mr. Godwin Obasi.
The Mayor noted that with adequate information dissemination, governance would become more impactful and lauded Radio Nigeria for it’s leadership role in the nation’s broadcast industry.
Chief Ojuu-Kalu called for closer working relationship with the local government and promised to take advantage of the rich programs of the station.
The General Manager, Pacesetter FM, Mr. Godwin Obasi said the meeting was aimed at exploring new business potentials and strengthening grassroots participation through radio.
Mr. Obasi maintained that collaboration with Pacesetter FM would offer the people access to quality information and urged the Ohafia Local Government Council to identify with the station
