The Chairman of Oshimili South Local Government Area of Delta State , High Chief Obi Kelvin Ezenyili attributed the council’s ability to execute major infrastructure projects to the increased revenue accruing to local governments under the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He said the achievement would not have been possible without the support of President Tinubu and the Delta State Governor, describing both leaders as instrumental to the transformation taking place at the grassroots.

The chairman said, “Before the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, we had little or no resources to execute projects. But after he assumed office, our resources multiplied, and that is why you are seeing today that a local government can provide such an edifice for the people.

“This is not a state project and it is not a national project; it is a local government project. The accolade must go to our leader, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, because if he had withheld the resources or failed to introduce policies that would generate more revenue for us, we would not be here today celebrating these achievements.”

Ezenyili also commended Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for ensuring that local governments in the state receive their statutory allocations, saying such support had strengthened grassroots development.
