Rivers State Government has been called upon to enforce laws that protect the rights of persons with disability in the State.
The call was made by a lawyer, Dr. Oby Adiela in a Keynote Address titled; disability accessibility, taking it further, at the Faecare Foundation’s Disability rights initiative project accessibility program in Port Harcourt.
Dr. Adiela decried the deprivation that non accessibility to public domain has caused the Nation when the potentials of persons with disability are allowed to go untapped for advancement.
Director of Faecare Foundation, Ambassador Ndifreke Andrew – Essien while appreciating the Media and other stakeholders for supporting the fight for inclusion for persons with disability, said intensive sensitization would bring far reaching results.

She said the awareness train on accessibility will be taken to rural communities in ten Local Government Areas in Rivers State.
