President Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to foster national unity, strengthen shared values, and deepen social cohesion, following a high-level meeting with the Director General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu.

The strategic engagement featured a detailed briefing by Issa-Onilu, who updated the President on the agency’s activities and progress since assuming office in October 2023. He emphasized that while the achievements so far may appear modest, they signal a deliberate shift toward value reorientation in alignment with the administration’s broader governance priorities.

Issa-Onilu further attributed the agency’s strides to the President’s leadership and unwavering support, noting that this backing has provided the policy direction and enabling environment needed to reposition NOA programmes and extend their impact across the country.

The meeting also provided an opportunity for the NOA boss to present the agency’s proposed programmes and projects for the 2026 operational year. The initiatives, he explained, are aimed at deepening citizen engagement, strengthening the National Values Charter, and intensifying sensitisation campaigns across the country.

Issa-Onilu sought the President’s approval and guidance on the proposed plans to ensure alignment with national priorities and facilitate effective implementation.

The engagement underscores the administration’s commitment to national orientation as a vital driver of effective governance, with a strong emphasis on keeping key institutions accountable and results-driven.
