WSentinel Media Limited has marked its second anniversary with a bold declaration of intent — to build a formidable Pan-African media voice from the heart of the Niger Delta.

Since its launch on May 27, 2024, the fast-rising digital media brand has continued to redefine online journalism through speed, professionalism, credibility and expansive coverage, emerging as one of Nigeria’s most influential new-generation media platforms.

Operating from Warri, Delta State, WS News has rapidly grown into a respected media powerhouse, earning recognition alongside established digital platforms such as News Century, TV Platinum, Trust TV, Symfoni TV, Oriental Times and ADBN.

As part of activities commemorating its second anniversary, the organisation officially unveiled WS Sport, further expanding its growing media portfolio, which already includes the widely followed WSnews and WS Events & Lifestyle platforms.

From the creeks of the Niger Delta to Lagos, Osun, Kano and Abuja, and across African countries including Ghana, Botswana, Togo and Sierra Leone, the platform has continued to gain prominence through aggressive local and international news coverage.

Driven by its philosophy of “unbiased news, unwavering integrity,” WS News has built a reputation for balanced, factual and prompt reportage, distinguishing itself in an era where media credibility remains critical.

Beyond journalism, the media brand has also become a dominant force in premium event coverage, delivering top-quality visual storytelling and live media experiences across the region.

Among its major assignments are the coverage of the 10th coronation anniversary of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi Ojaja II; the homecoming of Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, to the Warri Kingdom; the 90th birthday celebration of Vanguard Publisher, Sam Amuka; and the globally celebrated entertainment event, Warri Again, sponsored by former Nigeria Football Federation President, Amaju Pinnick.

The platform also covered the recent hosting of Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, by the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III and the Itsekiri nation.

WSentinel has equally maintained strong visibility across major social media platforms including Facebook, X, Instagram and YouTube, where it reportedly recorded the highest views of the First Lady’s visit to Warri earlier this year.

The organisation’s rapid growth and professionalism have continued to attract commendations from public officials, stakeholders and industry leaders.

Former NFF President, Amaju Pinnick, while praising the platform after its coverage of Warri Again, described WSentinel as “a local and global brand redefining Warri.”

Stakeholders also attributed the company’s impressive rise within two years to its commitment to quality journalism, innovation and professional service delivery.

One stakeholder described the organisation as “the best media export from the Niger Delta,” noting that its expanding influence across Nigeria and Africa reflects the quality of its operations.

Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Isaac Oritseweyinmi Agbateyiniro, said the media company has redefined the media landscape in Delta State and beyond through impactful storytelling and unbiased journalism.

Similarly, the Chairman of Ughelli North Local Government Area, Olorogun Jaro Movudu Egbo, congratulated the organisation on the milestone, expressing optimism that the brand would continue to record greater growth and wider reach.

Industry observers believe the launch of WS Sport and the growing influence of its existing platforms signal the beginning of a bigger continental expansion for the media organisation.

As WSentinel celebrates two years of operation, the organisation says it remains committed to quality journalism, prompt reportage and premium event coverage, while continuing to project the African story to the world.

Indeed, the future appears bright for the fast-growing media brand whose voice is steadily resonating across borders.
