2024 BATCH A STREAM 1 CORPS MEMBERS DEPLOYED TO PLACES OF PRIMARY ASSIGNMENT IN RIVERS STATE

The Governor of Rivers State, Mr. Siminalayi Fubara has charged Corps Members to be focused, dogged and determined in playing pivotal roles that will uplift the lives of the citizens of the State.

He stated this at the NYSC permanent orientation camp, Nonwa-Gbam Tai when he declared closed, the 2024 Batch A Stream 1 orientation course for Corps Members deployed to the State.

The governor, who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Tammy Wenike Danagogo further charged the Corps Members to see themselves as elite youths who must be disciplined and patriotic in making positive impacts in their host communities.

Governor Fubara used the occasion to reassure the Corps Members that his administration will continue to place their security and welfare as a top priority.

In an address, the State Coordinator NYSC Rivers State, Mr. George Mfongang informed the governor that the Corps Members have been adequately equipped with character, capacity and competence to excel and contribute meaningfully well in their Places of Primary Assignment across the 23 Local Government Areas of the State.

He expressed confidence that the Corps Members will promote and entrench peace, equity, social justice, love and mutual respect amongst citizens of the State as nation builders.

Mr. Mfongang thanked Governor Fubara for paying State Allowance to all Corps Members in the State.

A total of 1676 Corps Members made up of 858 males and 812 females successfully completed the orientation exercise in the State.
