NIGERIAN ARMY ARRESTS A FAKE SOLDIER IN PORT HARCOURT

A fake soldier going by the name Desmond Okey has been arrested by Operatives of Nigerian Army in Government Reserve Area, GRA, Port Harcourt, Rivers State. 

Parading the suspect at Six Division Nigerian Army Port Harcourt, the Deputy Director Army Public Relations, Lieutenant Colonel Ikedichi Iweha explained that he was arrested while extorting money from commercial drivers. 

Lieutenant Colonel Iweha who told newsmen that Mr. Okay was fully kitted in Army Camouflage when he was accosted.

According to the Army Public Relations Officer, Mr. Okey was also arrested in Twenty twenty-two for the same offense, but he managed to wriggle his way out of the hook when he was handed over to another security agency for prosecution, only for him to return to his unlawful act. 

The Deputy Director Army Public Relations enjoined members of the public to be vigilant and reach out to the Army if they became suspicious of any person parading as a soldier.

On his reaction, the suspect said that he has been making efforts to join the army but has not been successful. 

Mr. Okey said that he made his uniform in Kaduna, bought his. boot in Lagos and produced his fake pass in Owerri.
