The second anniversary of the administration of the Chairman of Isoko South Local Government Area, Delta State, Hon. (Comr.) Warri Ovoke Friday, was marked with a humanitarian outreach as his wife, Mrs. Abigail Warri, extended support to orphans and nursing mothers across the council area.

The outreach, which formed part of the anniversary activities, highlighted the administration’s commitment to combining infrastructural development with programmes that directly improve the welfare of vulnerable residents.

During the exercise, Mrs. Warri visited an orphanage where she donated food items and other essential supplies to support the care and wellbeing of the children. She also presented baby care materials and other essential items to selected families with newborn babies, helping to ease the financial burden on nursing mothers.

Speaking during the outreach, Mrs. Warri stressed the importance of compassion and community support, noting that every child deserves love, care and the opportunity to thrive. She said acts of kindness remain vital to building a caring and inclusive society.

She explained that the initiative aligns with the vision of the Warri Ovoke Friday administration to complement infrastructure and development projects with people-centred social intervention programmes that positively impact the lives of residents.

The beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the timely intervention, describing the donations as a welcome relief. They offered prayers for God’s continued guidance, wisdom and strength for Hon. Warri Ovoke Friday and Mrs. Abigail Warri as they continue to serve the people of Isoko South.

The outreach further reinforced the administration’s commitment to inclusive governance by prioritising the welfare of vulnerable groups, particularly children and nursing mothers.

Mrs. Warri was accompanied by the Vice Chairman of Isoko South Local Government, Hon. Theresa Ikrike, and other council officials, who described the initiative as another demonstration of the administration’s compassionate and people-focused approach to governance.
