Chairman of Isoko North Local Government Area, Hon. (Elder) Prince Godwin Ogorugba, has pledged to accelerate development and deliver more democratic dividends to residents as his administration enters its third year, declaring that the achievements recorded over the past two years are only the beginning.

Speaking during a thanksgiving service to commemorate his second anniversary in office at the Executive Council Chamber in Ozoro on Thursday, Ogorugba attributed the successes of his administration to the grace, mercy and faithfulness of God.

The council chairman said his administration had made significant strides in infrastructure development, human capital development and the sustenance of peace across the 13 wards of the local government, adding that the support of the people had also contributed immensely to the progress recorded so far.

Expressing confidence in the future, Ogorugba quoted Proverbs 4:18, saying, “The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.” He assured residents that, by God’s grace, his administration would achieve even greater milestones in the years ahead.

He expressed appreciation to the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, for the opportunity to serve, and thanked political leaders, traditional rulers, religious leaders, APC stakeholders and the people of Isoko North for their unwavering support, prayers and encouragement throughout the past two years.

The thanksgiving service attracted political leaders, traditional rulers, clerics, party faithful and supporters who joined the chairman in celebrating what he described as two years of God’s faithfulness, preservation and impactful governance.

Special prayers were offered for Ogorugba, his administration and the continued peace, unity and development of Isoko North by prominent clerics, including Bishop Gilbert Adaigho, Bishop Sam Oyede, Pastor David Oyebande, Bishop Ben Eghaire, Bishop Emeruetta and Ven. Roberts Oziwele.

The event was attended by a large number of dignitaries, political office holders, community leaders and well-wishers from across the 13 wards of the local government, who prayed for greater accomplishments in the years ahead.
