Governor Douye Diri says the All Progressives Congress has the structure and personnel to win at next year’s general election in Bayelsa State.

The Governor stated this at the APC Presidential Primary collation center at the Chief DSP Alamieyeseigha Banquet Hall in Government House, Yenagoa.

The Governor who is the State Coordinator and Chief Collation Officer in the Presidential Primary declared that President Bola Tinubu scored two hundred and seventy-seven thousand, one hundred and ninety-two votes in the State with his opponent, Mr. Stanley Osifo registering five votes.

Governor Douye Diri while appreciating members of the All Progressives Congress for their orderly conduct throughout the party’s primaries noted that the days of toxic politics were over.

The Governor while reiterating the call for unity and team work, expressed confidence that the APC would sweep the polls in the 2027 general election from the House of Assembly to the National Assembly and the Presidential ballots.

State Chairman of the APC, Mr. Warman Ogoriba commended members of the party across the 105 wards in the 8 Local Government Areas for their peaceful and orderly conduct.

Also in attendance were the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Oil, Heineken Lokbobiri, Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, Samuel Ogbuku, MD of the Niger Delta River Basin Development Authority, Prince Ebitimi Ambgare, elected and appointed political office holders, chieftains and faithful of the APC, service commanders as well as officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission who monitored the process.

The APC Presidential primary which adopted the direct voting method was earlier held at the wards across the local government areas of Bayelsa State.
