‎The suspended Rivers State Commissioner for Health, Dr Adaeze Oreh, has denied allegations linking her to the disruption of an empowerment programme under the Renewed Hope Initiative organised by the office of the First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, in Port Harcourt on Friday. ‎‎

A report making the round stated that Dr. Oreh was involved in the walkout staged by some women when the wife of the state’s Sole Administrator, Dr Theresa Ibas, was called to address them, expressing disapproval as they demanded the return of Governor Fubara.

‎‎Reacting to the allegations, Dr Oreh, in a statement described the claims as entirely unfounded and complete false, defining it as nothing more than a feeble and mischievous attempt to tarnish her reputation and sow discord.‎‎

Dr Oreh who labeled the claim as a product of the sick imagination of rumour mongers and conflict entrepreneurs, challenged the Concerned Rivers Youth Organisation to provide tangible proof to support their assertions, stressing that it is essential to base criticisms on facts rather than speculation and political agendas. ‎‎She further clarified that she has neither sponsored nor will sponsor any activities aimed at disrupting the activities of the administration appointed by President Bola Tinubu to oversee the affairs of Rivers State following his declaration of a state of emergency. ‎‎

Dr Oreh while reaffirming her commitment to working tirelessly for the progress and development of the State, noted that it is crucial for all stakeholders to promote a culture of truth, integrity, and respect in public discourse. ‎‎The suspended Commissioner for Health in Rivers State however urged everyone to focus on issues that unite and foster a positive, solution-driven dialogue for the betterment of the state.
